Why would you say that? It's a full OS, pretty decent hardware plus 2 monitors? If you can build something better/faster for cheaper, with monitors, I'd like to see it.

    I'd buy it.

seems reasonable! There are also peeps that build them for a good price too-but ususally monitor is not included. Comparable prices-but new.
MAKE SURE the OS is included--VERY IMPORTANT-otherwise that will cost EXTRA

His first post said the OS is on the SSD.

    OP,
What will you be playing on it? At that price don't expect BF4 on max settings.

What does the inside look like? Also, with a buy off Craigslist/Ebay there is no IT support, warranty, etc.

Since you are a first time PC gamer go with this and see if you like it. Some people start PC gaming and realize it can be a headache vs what they are used to with console gaming.

    Same here.
I'm not very fond of AMD to begin with. However, when on a budget AMD is the way to go.

That CPU is pretty slow for gaming. The GPU is older as well...

I would invest in a machine that you have the capability of upgrading in the future. That CPU(2.5 ghz intel celeron processor) is older and so it's more than likely paired up with a Motherboard that cannot fit a processor that's too much faster. The Motherboard determines the processor socket type and speed of ram.

In short, you want motherboard that will allow you to upgrade over time. Not a 1 trick pony.

He seems to have the right idea with using a smaller storage solid state drive to use as a boot drive for the OS and larger capacity drive for the rest though.

Usually upgrade the graphics card every other year to the mid-range card. The Radeon 6600 was released in 2011 so it's a few generations old. You can only upgrade to what your power supply can handle, so if you want to upgrade your graphics card, you might want to upgrade your power supply. The processor is pretty weak, though. The HD and SSD are a nice touch. 10 gb of ram is good enough, for now. For the sound of it, it's a decent/fair deal. It is a bit old, but computer gaming is a completely different beast than console gaming.

With computer gaming, there is more maintenance with the system, and you should really know your system. Each game has to be configured to match your hardware, and although there are programs that do this, they don't really do a good job, so you'll have to go into the settings in each game you buy to configure it, but you only have to do it when you start the game.

There is also the issue with cooling. The computer will be sucking a lot of air to stay cool, and sometimes the bios doesn't do a good job at it so you'll have to create a fan/temp profile to manage it.

With all that air going through it, you'll have a lot of dust, so you'll have to clean your system out once a month, and it also makes your room very warm.

If you like playing indie games on steam and tinkering with your computer, sure, go for it. If you want to game just mainstream games, stick to a console and have a laptop on the side for the computer stuff.

    Me:

    2 Dell 24" 1920x1080i monitors
Core i5 quad core processor overclocked to 4.2 gHz
    Nvidia Gt650Ti Boost
    12 Gb ram
    Razor Blackwidow Keyboard

good choice. I built my i5-2500k machine 3 years ago and enjoyed every second of it. Currently upgrading as we speak.
