I think I am going to Divorce AT&T. Might go to Android. Though, with the OS being so opensource, I am afraid of how that will become. MMMM.

See, this is exactly my problem. IMHO, Verizon has the best service, but it's CDMA, and they're phones are crippled. Minus the fact that they don't have anything good right now (BB Storm is a joke).

Sprint has the PRE, but they are the worst in almost everything.

T-Mobile is great, in everything but Service. It simply won't work when I am out in West Texas.

AT&T, where do I begin, but they have OK service, and the iPhone.

Let's see...at one point 3 years ago I bought a SonyEricsson W600i and went through 3 of those because they kept busting. Then 6 Razr V3i's (iTunes version) because the keyboards kept falling off. Then I got a Blackjack that worked great and I still have it. Wonderful phone. Then I wanted a new phone so I bought a Tilt, great and perfect for 8-9 months until WinMo 6.1 came out and I updated and it died...well, almost because there was an easy fix for it...don't restore through Sprite Backup. :rasta: And I got 4 refurbs that kept breaking until a very nice store manager let em do an early upgrade (over a year early) and I bought the iPhone...that has 3.0 issues...here we go again. :( (except I'm not getting rid of it for a refurb)

I meant as far as the iPhones go...am I the only person in the world who has never had an issue with any phone, ever?

Yea probably. I wouldn't have had an issue with the Tilt if att's instructions for update were correct.

I never had an issue with my Blackjack. My friend had one and he dropped it from the second floor onto hardwood below and it worked fine.

I love the Blackjack. When I was up for renewal a couple of years back, I had to pick between the Blackjack and iPhone.

3.0 works great on my 3G. SMS and tethering are really cool. They are both free here in Canada. I hear that you guys in the US are getting screwed over by AT&T!!

Here is a link for instructions to downgrade from 3.0 to 2.2.1.

Here is a link to download older versions of firmware for your iPhone 3G.

    Hope it's helpful to you!!

    Cheers.

Did you get one? By far it is the most durable phone that was ever on the market...next to the Motorola StarTac/TimePort.
You rock so hard! Thanks so much!

I've still got a 30GB iPod Video too. Works like a gem.

Yep, got one of those but the battery sucks. I also have a 15GB iPod from 2004 that works good...except last time I tried to give it life it stayed dead.

I've got one still, too! I got the U2 special edition . Battery life has gone to crap on it so it just sits in my car hooked up to the HU.

Funny enough, BGR rated the Black Jack II number 1 out of 10 about a year ago.

Yep, mine's in the center console until I get a new cd. That's the only time it sees the light of day.

    Waaiiiit...are you being sarcastic? :D

I love BGR! It's my homepage...been following their news since teh second year they were on the netz.
But yea..my battery slowly got better but it still sucks, so I'm just letting it hang out until it gets working right. It doesn't help that the battery meter doesn't work on the screen. :(
lol well that's all WinMo's fault. Can't blame the phone. :p
I used this number on it...*#1546792*# and from there you could change the signal it ran on (3G, edge, gsm) and some other stuff. Sadly it ONLY worked on that phone. Gave me great battery life and got much better call quality without it having to switch around networks.

i can blame the phone for the paint not sticking on the keys after the first 6-8 months

and i can blame the phone for the signal strength...i tested that next to another phone on the cingular (at the time) network running the same windows mobile...and i had 1 bar...the other phone had 4
