iphone help. Covers, color?

So I will be getting an iphone tomorrow or wed. I was going to today but ran into trouble. I was curious what you guys think are the best cases. I dont really want it on my hip, just something that will protect it. Rubber is nice but if its leather its gotta be nice as well. Whats the best plastic to use to protect the screen and WONT give you those bubbles.

So what do you guys like? Suggestions? Where to buy?

Black or White? Im leaning toward black. White is for metros.

Thanks!!!

if you get white the tiny hairline cracks will be less noticeable!

Well I would recommend a hard plastic case. I've used the silicon ones and eventually mine just got stretched out and it just didn't last as long as I'd hoped. I forget the brand and what it's called, but I've got a few friends with screen protectors that go on like a clear sticker. If put on correctly, you won't have bubbles. The only benefit of it is that it reduces glare. Personally, I don't have one. Why, because the iphone screens are supposedly "scratch proof" and therefore if by some odd chance it does get scratched, I would just bring it to apple and tell them I was told it was scratch proof and somehow I now have a scratch (I'm under warranty still). So I would recommend for now, you get a hard plastic one. They sell them at the Apple store, or online. If you get one off ebay, it may cause you problems. My sister ordered one off of there and it leaves paint marks when you take it on and off. I got a clear one off of ebay and it freakin scratched my phone just when I was putting it on!

Go to the Apple store and get someone to help you. Pick one out and say I really like this one, but I'm not sure how it'd look and feel on my phone. Odds are the employee will take it out of the box and put it on your phone to see if you like it.

I definitely agree that the silicone/rubber cases stretch out way too fast. I purchased a 3g When it first came out and got a silicone case for it which lasted me a month before it looked like a vagina after Im through with it. I ended up getting a Speck Case (http://www.speckproducts.com/product...iphone-3gs/162) which lasted me all through my Original 3G Ownership and I have now began using it on my new 3G. Its really tough and can definitely handle the drops. Ive dropped my iPhone quite a few times with no damage because of the protection this case has provided my phone.

Nice. I will give it a try. Is the warranty free or does it cost?

You get a 1 year warranty for free. But it doesn't cover accidental damage such as liquid spills, or shattering the screen from dropping it. You can buy up to 2 more years of the warranty. I didn't get the extended warranty. I've only had two issues with mine, and the first time the replaced everything on my phone for free except the hard drive and the second time, they just did a complete restore, but I need to go back cause there is still the hardware issue that they never fixed...

Apple tries pretty hard to please their customers. For instance, my sister just brought her iphone in yesterday. It was having major issues. They took a look at it and said liquid had spilled in it. (She didn't tell them but she spilled a bunch of booze on it one night by accident.) Her phone is out of warranty. Well they said it'd by $199 to replace it or $399 to upgrade it to the 3gs. She told them to hold on so she could have my mom transfer money to her checking account since she doesn't have a lot of money since she's still in college. The guy said do you really need the money for something else? She said yes, and he said ok, don't worry about it, I'll replace it for you for free.

Incase slider with a screen protecter, that's what I have and I love it. I drop my phone all the time and no damage at all.

I have this case along with a few of my friends. I highly recommend it. I don't use the clip though.
