    Only chose pc because of gaming. And I've had real bad luck with macs. The ony 2 I've ever used would freeze every 2 minutes.

    PC! I would purchase a MAC, but there are some students in the engineering department that say MAC is sometimes not compatible with some programs they need. This is the only only reason why I don't buy a MAC. Maybe after I graduate I will buy a MAC. Also, I am thinking of buying Windows 7, just waiting for how it works out for others.

    Thats really not the case anymore.

    I have a MacPro on an active directory, I am the only mac on our network of about 30 PCs/Servers. I am also a windows developer and since I virtualized my development environment, I haven't looked back. Everything runs so much better on a mac. I haven't gotten pissed at my Mac ever.

    It has not been rebooted for 4 months.

    Windows would really degrade as the day went by requiring a daily reboot.

    That's funny...cause I've used a LOT of PC computers...and I've had to do alot more repairs on them than I have fixing any of the three macs I use (No repairs ever on those).

    You got ONE bad part...Have you talked to Apple about a fix for it??

    def pc.

    RANT WARNING
    I've always had beef about paying for a duplicate of an OS that has been made completely open source *cough* linux *cough*.
    I also have issues with easily having to pay double or triple the price for a mac that a PC of the exact same specs would cost (look into Apple's lawsuit against Paystar's mac-clone).
    Then theres the ominous feeling about being an apple customer given all the class action lawsuits theyve been in, of which theyve all weasled out of.
    Lets not get started on all the half-truths apple blurts out, no wait, lets. If you head to any mac store and ask if apple manufactures their hardware, theyll usually always say theyre official apple products. Most people will question that line further, but some eat it allll up. Then there are the commercials that mislead customers into a false sense of security. Do PCs get viruses? yes (stop looking at pr0n). Do Macs get viruses? rarely, but they can; there just arent enough viruses developed for the mac os yet. If you check out 2 articles from dailytech.org (from april-june iirc) there was a lot of concern expressed by apple execs regarding mac viruses. I'm paraphrasing what was said, but it was along the lines of "we encourage our customers to purchase antivirus software." With the skyrocket of apple sales in the past 5 years or so, there has been a lot of concern about macs now becoming as popular a target as PCs for malware.

    Yes i hate macs, but honestly microsoft isnt any better, we're just all familiar with their deceptions. Its kind of like comparing a foiled prank from a clever person and a retarded person. You might get pissed at the clever person, but ull just point and laugh at the retarded one and think he's being cute. Not a politically correct analogy, sorry.
    END OF RANT

    My advice would be to buy a PC, wipe it, install the linux package best suited to you and get the best of both worlds. If you heavily into gaming, I believe there is a prog that creates a windows environment running on linux. I forget the name . . .WINE? MMO's seem to be fine on there, FFXI was.
