What size are you looking for? How much do you want to spend? Too open of a question to just say what TV should I get.

I would say go to the nearest futureshop and look at the TV's side by side. The LG's usually look pretty good compared to the others. I am in the market for a new TV also. I am no expert at electronic stuff so I usually go by what has the best picture to my eyes. The 2 TV's at the top of the page you linked to seem to be a decent price for a TV with a 240hz refresh rate.

get a hold of the futureshop "extended warranty" booklet to read the fine print.... i dont recommend spending the extra cash on it imo. its pretty much a scam that will cost you hundreds of dollars more for nothing

I have a 32" Samsung LCD in my bedroom and a 40" Samsung LCD in our living room. Highly satisfied with them both. Don't know the model numbers off hand, not the most expensive models but I have zero complaints.

ok im not going to suggest a specific brand, honestly, go in the store and pick out a tv that YOU THINK has the best picture. but here are some specs to look for...

    1) you definitly want a 1080p, this usually does not matter but if you watch cable or a movie in HD it will matter tremendously.

    2) refresh rate is how often the screen pretty much refreshes, you want at least 120hz, if you get 60hz you will see some blurring along the lines of the people on tv when you watch sports or fast action movies. 240hz is optimal but 120hz will suffice.

    3) contrast ratio is usually displayed as 15k:1 or 30k:1 and so forth. this is the number of different colors in each pixel/crystal or whatever. obviously the higher the ratio the more broad range of colors you are going to see. reds will be more distinct and purples will be more vibrant and all that.

    3) look for at least 2 HDMI ports as well

start from here, then narrow down the tv's from there. remember, pick what YOU THINK has the best picture. i have an insignia lcd hdtv from best buy, LG makes it but best buy contracts it out and puts their name on it so its cheaper. it comes with a 2 year warranty instead of 1 year like most. and honestly it has a better picture than most name brands. just because it says sony, or samsung does not mean it has the best picture.

    good luck

i'll throw Vizio into the mix...

its definitely not top of the line but its awesome for me. i got a 48" lcd for $800. 1080p, 120 hz, plenty of inputs. stack it next to a samsung or bravia and you can definitely tell its not up to their snuff but i have my ps3 and hd cable tuner hooked up to it and i hear nothing but compliments.

lcd i think is the way to go too if your trying to decide btw plasma and lcd. i dont play many video games i use the ps3 mainly for blu rays but having the lcd made sense to me
