AT&T's service sucks so bad around here that iphones aren't even available to us. BB is going to get you better rural service. iphone is more fun. BB is better for work minded stuff. Depends what you need/want it for.

I like my BB, but be forewarned. While computer phones have many nice features, they also act like a computers.

Had the iphone for two years. Just got my BB storm 2 a week or so ago. Its not bad. I switched carriers so this was my best option. I think overall the iphone is better, but the blackberry isnt bad. I think I just need to get used to it after having the iphone for so long. If I had to choose one, I would say iphone.

not a huge iphone fan but i'd have to choose an iphone over a BB. BB is better for professionals but i try to be as least professional as possible

I have a BB Curve for work and iPhone as my personal. I love them both...

I would hate to do a lot of email on the iPhone, it sucks in comparison to the Curve. It's easier to navigate around the Curve as well - not as many menus and you can use the keyboard for shortcuts to save even more time. The shorter length of the Curve makes it a bit more comfortable in a pocket as well.

iPhone blows the BB away in terms of web browsing though, and of course there's the apps.

i had a BB for a couple months for a work phone. I dumped it for the Iphone and never been happier. email and internet browsing is light years better than the BB on the IPhone. Plus, the apps are sweet.

Neither. There are better choices out there. I currently have the Crackberry. When my contract is up, I'm switching to one of Verizon's other smartphones. Maybe the Droid or HTC smartphone. Biggest loser of the iphone is AT&T service sucks. Everyone I know that uses AT&T around Atlanta hates how the calls always drop or can't make calls do to no service.

My Sister(on the coast of GA) knows a bunch of people with the iphone & they love phone, but hate the lousy service from AT&T.

Can a black eye from Consumer Reports harm AT&T, iPhone?

I have both. The BB for work and the iphone as a personal phone. Had the iPhone for about 2 years now. It is the original, but I have used the newer versions. The iPhone blows the BB out of the water for most uses. The web browsing, maps, music, everything. The BB does excel at one thing for me; the speaker phone is great. Other than that, the two are even or the iphone wins in every category that I use them for. The lack of tactile response is a little bit annoying, but the tiny buttons for the BB are just as annoying to me. I can type marginally faster on the BB, but the lack of on the fly spell check annoys me.

If I were to be purchasing another phone anytime soon, I'd pick the iPhone again. I would not choose the BB if I had my pick for a work phone. It is the curve by the way, noticed I hadn't mentioned that before.

AT&T around chicago works well for me. I have service in more places than my work sprint/nextel phone.

I argue that the BB is better for professionals. The email service on the iPhone works better than the BB curve. You can actually view pdf's and zoom and all that. The complaint that I have with it is there is no passive reminder like the blinking LED on the BB.

you can view pdfs on the curve i use to do it all the time you can also zoom in and out, as far as email integration i believe blackberry is the winner hands down over all smart phone whether you use the BIS or BES service.

Now when it comes to other aspects of the phone such as web browsing, the iphone has that hands down, although blackberry and adobe have teamed up for flash development.

To the OP, it all depends on what you will use the phone for, email? social networking? voice? if you could list what your needs are im sure we all could pinpoint the best phone for you. I myself have used a iphone(unlocked), and various BB's and windows mobile devices, over all the berry has worked the best for me although i have grown bored with the OS mainly because no software update! sorry just a personal rant there.
