So I needed a new usb stick and wound up buying the sandisk cruzer micro 16gb from amazon. Was only $34 and is waaaay better than my old one.

    a) has a little key chain attachment that fits perfectly
    b) the usb connector is retractable so you don't need no cap
    c) 16gb for $34! (was cheaper than even newegg had it)

oh and it lights up and flashes when it's plugged in. my old one was 8gb but never quite fit on the keychain

Have the same one and it works great. I too like the retractable feature. I use mine in the field a lot and it seems to help it from getting too beat up.

16GB for $28 shipped from B&H a couple months ago. Have yet to see anywhere beat that price yet.

Ha I just grabbed one of the Sandisk drives yesterday as well. This current gen has two big improvements:

    1. When you have it open, it stays open. The old one's tab didn't catch very well and would retract too easy
    2. The red plastic on the end. I waste too much time flipping usb stuff over and over in semi-dark situations to make sure it is aligned right. Red is much easier to see.
