I have a 52" Samsung LCD and a 36" LG LCD...I like the Samsung better but right now you really can't go wrong with any of the top brands. Go to Bestbuy and compare them in preson.

You should check out the new Sharp Aquous LCD. I heard they are nice!

Sharps are great, but I got a 34inch Proscan lcdhdtv from costco for $300 over the internet i think, but its the best, it has great quality just as equally good as other top brands, if not better

LED is the newest technology for TV, their the thin looking tv's

LCD is what you see now days, always great

Plasma is what you saw when flat screens came out, plasmas from what i heard arent that great, they picture becomes less sharp the more you use it...its just not as good, you dont see many of them for sale anymore

Depends on how much you want to spend. IMO, I would suggest Samsung or Sony LCD TV. Look for at least 120 or 240 mhz. Best place to buy is probably Costco Homestore if you have one around, or even just Costco or Sams club. Also, Video Only has pretty good prices too.

I have the 52" Sony Bravia 240HZ XBR9 , great picture and connectivity , what you want to get depends on your budget and your regular viewing content .

PM Benca1 , he sets up home theater systems .

I thought LED was just the backlight, which allowed the "thinness" of the tv; and, that the picture was produced by LCD. Anyway, I've always had good luck w/Sony (if I had the $, I'd look for a Bravia with the "3" engine).
