AT&T is doing early upgrades, so you're probably due for one. Dial *639# and it should tell you :)

I have never heard of any type of upgrade program...if so Im turning in my 2 previous iphones!

I always suggest people go through apple when buying the iphone...I feel like their is less of a chance for something unforeseeable to go wrong...

buy applecare...if you don't you'll need it...if you buy it you wont need it but at least your safe

In 2 years of owning the iphone I have 675 minutes of talk time.
That equates to about 30 minutes of talk a month.

Video phone? I can barely stand talking to people on the phone let alone talking on the phone and looking at them.

Looks sweet. I have a Macbook Pro and an IMac but....I'm married to Verizon with 3 contracts (the 4th is coming in 2 wks) so I'll simply be happy with the Droid and have IPhone envy until Verizon has them. Then I'll walk over and pay full retail to get one if I need to:cool:

I wouldnt mess with it, that sounds like more work than just waiting 2-3 days so you can just walk in and pick it up...

you might get lucky though and not have to wait like I did...

my guess though is that preorders will ship from the factory in Shenzhen...

found this in the preview of a google search

Shenzhen China | iPhone applications | iPhone Games | iPhone Game ...
Apple has started shipping iPhone 3G S today to customers who pre-ordered ... The devices are coming all the way from Shenzhen, China where the iPhone is
    www.iphonefootprint.com/tag/shenzhen-china/ - Cached

this is exactly what happened with my macbook...ordered it anticipating getting it earlier and it ended up taking for ever to ship from China

I can't wait to get one. The 3g is slow as a turd after it'd jailbroken. It takes about 30 seconds to switch from text messages to maps and back to text messages. Way too slow.

I am totally getting one of these. Going to wait a little bit though seeing as I just bought my 3GS about 6 months ago.

I'm beginning to think I should restore it. Jailbreaks aren't necessary for mms, copy paste, landscape mode, video and a bunch of other features now that os 3.0 is out. Alternative app stores, themes, mods and unlimited downloads are just too nice to pass up :)

    Just messing with you. :p

All that jailbreaking stuff is too technical for me!

Plus, I don't want my warranty to be void!

That's what they said about the 3gs but guess what, their statements weren't 100% accurate. Let's wait till we can read some consumer reports.
