I grew up in Missouri City, but have moved to Bellaire since. I still have lots of friends who live down there so I'm down from time to time.

Welcome to TX sil3ncer7! You'll like it.

I used to live in the Gables Edgewater and Gables Lionshead apartments; my advice is to stay away from those. I had my bike stolen from the parking lot of Lionshead, it was recovered but never the same. :pout:

Are you looking to buy a house once you get down here? I live in Richmond and work in Houston/Stafford area and it's not a bad drive at all.

Thanks arkitect, Jnip, Bein 21 and recovering my credit from a bad school loan (thank hevens its over now) I am not sure if I can even try for a house, but I think goin nown there here in the next 4 days im just gonna shoot for an apartment for the time being and just see how things go but eventually look for a house. Thats my long term goal. I hate wasting $ on renting an apt but its all I can really do right now

500 - 600/mo. is going to be very hard to find in this area. Have you checked out http://www.roommates.com/ ? It may workout, but really a shot in the dark.

I spent a couple of months in Sugar Land, 2 years back repairing a jet at the airport there because the pilots decided to collapse the nose gear while landing! I remember a few places we went to Baker Street sticks out the most though. Yall have a lot of fine women out there though! But no damn sweet tea! I was lost when I asked for sweet tea and the waitress just looked at me funny and said we dont have that!

    None - yet...
No longer in TX - born in Amarillo, but spent a few years in Alief welding for an outfit called Oil & Gas Manufacturing on Boone Road back in the early 80s. Hasn't changed much that I can tell at least using google maps to check out old haunts.

Small world, I use to live off of Boone about seven years ago... that area is getting pretty bad.

that's my 2004 LS430 on Accuair air ride suspension with pulled and flared front and rear fenders on Works with the Vlene kit. That was my daily driver when I worked in downtown but I have started a new job and need something more rugged.

Here are a couple more pics
