Mobile repair and odd jobs. I have an ad on craigslist for welding and that's where all my leads are coming from.

Can you make this on my current bumper to hold some back up lights? I have the lights but no plasma or torch to cut the hole.

You going to start fabricating? Or just welding alone?

A torch is my next investment. But I don't see why I couldn't do it with a cut off wheel and a grinder.

I think the space would be too small for a cut off wheel. If you used a cut off wheel you would have to cut way past the corners.

I kinda want to go with a plasma because I'd really like to not have to carry bottles around. The space in the back of my truck is already limited

Or a trailer. That's what I'm leaning towards

Trailers are the way to go IMO. It makes changing trucks much easier. If your truck is down for some reason your whole business is not in the shop with it if you use a trailer.

Aesthetics are nice; but unless you want to be sitting on your ass not earning money when truck needs some repairs or maintenance you will want a trailer. Trailers are great because you can leave them at a job site to save gas or when you want to take your girl out on the town you are not taking your tools on a show-n-steal display while you are eating.
