I used to live on SPI some years back. Everything about it was great except the damn roach monsters! I didn't even mind the 'Africa hot' summer temps! I would love to make a run down there, but I'd have to do some serious ponderin' on it first. Let's see... 4000 mi round trip from NV to TX at 18 mpg at $4/gal for go juice... (4000/18)x4 = Gak! Maybe if I hit the progressive at one of the local casinos...

I'm in. I would love to drive my tacoma, but just picked up this beast, and it would be tough to come to the beach without it!!

I'm hoping we can hit the East Cut and make a huge Fire out there......I think that if any of you guys want to Camp we can do that.......and then we can hit Dirty Als the following day.

Would be badass if we hang out all day, fish, Q and down down Brewski's! Not sure if we can do any mods out there but you never know.

I already bought a Rigid Industries offroad light for this trip. I'm pumped!

as for the East cut, we can head out there when the sun starts setting.

We'll drive into access 5, cruise up the beach until we find a big enough spot for the lot of us, then after a day of chilling on the beach, we can head out to the East cut, spend the night and start fishing nice and early.

    How does that sound?

I say this because I know for a fact there will be some 2wd trucks, and I'm sure that not everybody that shows up will be willing to drive all the way out there. So I'd rather spend the day with everybody on the beach, and as soon as some people start leaving in the evening we'll all pack up and head up to the East cut for a full night of fishing or early fishing.

    Sound good?

Sounds like a solid plan......until some strangers stay at the Nude Beach. We might have a problem there....:D

Tough call on which rig to drive. Neither have seen the beach yet, but I am leaning toward the FJ40. Hope the other tacoma owners dont mind.
