Yea ive heard that before but i never do it lol. Most of the time i put it in 4x4 before i hit the trail and hit the safety crap button. Then i disengage once i get off the trail. Ive never been in an area wpusing 2WD and then suddenly needed 4WD. Not in the city anyway. In afghanistan we just drove them in 4H all day it seems. Never had a problem.

We had 4 toyota pickups we used in afghan that were supposed to belong to the afghan military we were training. When they left, 6 or more of their vehicles disappeared lol. We had 4 and and some other guys had 2 or 3. Of course that was back before they got completely anal about what we could and couldnt do.

Those toyotas saved alot of lives though im sure. From a distance we looked like a bunch of afghanis going for a drive. Afghanis with IR tape and flashers all over the place but afghans none the less lol

I coast forward, pop into neutral, and throw the knob into 4HI. sometimes I just sit with my foot on the brake in drive, but not often.

I wish I could do the FJ case swap on mine

HHHHAAAAA, until you fix that actuator, you're nothing more then a lifted mall-crawling speed-bump climbing poser :D
