Those wheels are pricey right now.

    What's your budget?

Haven't really thought of a budget yet, was really hoping someone would be willing to trade for mine. Not sure of the value of my wheels compared to the value of the Texas Edition wheels, maybe someone can shed some light? Mine have around 28k miles on them with only minor dings, nothing serious.

I have pics of my wheels but cannot figure out how to post on here. I can also send via email if anyone is interested.

Have seen some on ebay start at $1200 for just 4rims.

What size rims do you have now? What size tires? Brand?

Yeah Texas edition wheels normally go for a pretty good amount, the occasional lucky 1st gen guy has been known to get them for a steal though.... Just keep your eyes open OP...

I still have the factory tires and rims. BFG Rugged Trail T/A: 265/70 R16. All have approx. 28k miles on them, never flat, rotated every 3k-5k miles.

Not gonna lie man. Some people have to give those rims and tires you have away. Stock tires are garbage. A straight trade is unlikely. Just keep your eyes on Craigslist or the b/s/t thread and u may get lucky.

Ps let me know if you need help with anything I'm next door to you in Huntsville...

Thanks Bullet, I had a feeling it was gonna be a long shot but hey, I had to ask. If I can do the deal with minimum hit on the wallet then all is good. I'll keep looking, I'm not in any big hurry so I'm good for now. Maybe someone will come up with some even cooler wheels for me, who knows? Thanks again for all the help/advice.

I got some off of CL a couple weeks ago. The guy had them listed at $800 just for the wheels. I kept an eye on them for a few days and sent him an email asking what his bottom dollar was. He replied back with $500 for the set. I laid low and he emailed me back asking what I'd give for them. I offered him $300 cash for all 4. He said, ok deal. I went and picked them up and they were like brand new, not a scratch on them. :D

That is great! Probably the same guy I emailed but never got a response. I'm still hoping I can find some.

I'm looking to get a set of 2013 Texas Edition wheels (17") for my 2010 Tacoma Prerunner TRD, will theses wheels fit without any kind of modifications? I am hoping the bolt pattern and offset have not changed over the years.

    Thanks for the help.

They bolted right up to mine. I've got an '09 Prerunner TRD Sport. The only problem I ran into was the lug nuts. My original ones would not work on the new wheels. I had to buy a new set from Discount Tire. I think they were around $35 bucks.

Excellent, thanks for the reply. Those look great on your truck, my truck is dark grey (don't remember the name) but should look good.
    Thanks again.

I have a 2013 Texas Edition Tacoma. Considering selling my Texas Edition wheels/tires. Not in a huge hurry. Considered painting them black as I've done before on other stock sets.

Since we are on the subject, anyone have recommendations on a good all around tire? (265/70R17) I don't do any major off road driving but occasionally go to the country to hunt or fish. Most of the miles will be pavement, I would say 90% and 10% off road. The biggest factors for me would be tread wear, wet road handling and of course, value. I don't want to "break the bank" but then again I don't want to be buying tires every 2 years, is there a happy medium?

As always, thanks for the help.
