So, probably around next month or so I'm planning a road trip up to Abilene, since I leave for the Corps in January, and I generally dont have any bills to pay, Im taking a week off work to drive up there. I was planning on making a couple of stops, then heading back down south to where I live. On the way back I was going to visit Huntsville and finally come back home. I have plenty of time for little side-trips and stuff, and I want to get to meet some forum members from Texas, and doing some "light" off-roading. I don't plan on damaging my vehicle and I don't have long travel shocks or anything fancy. So, hit up this thread and give me some ideas about wheeling, and where should I stop by to personally met some fellow Texans!

Congrats on joining the Corps and good luck. I'd meet up with you somewhere but I'm pretty tied up at the time with school. Sorry.

Check out the Palo Duro Canyons if you're going to be near Abilene. We're headed up that way in probably a month or so.
