Cross Post: I will be going to this event.

Please consider joining the Toyota Trail Riders (TTR) on a weekend run to Barnwell Mountain Recreation Area November 15-17, in Gilmer, Tx. This will be the club's monthly run and the DFW monthly Meet & Greet. Open to all make and model 4x4 vehicles[IMG]. However, you must have a CB radio if you join TTR on a run.

This is a non sponsored event. No registration fees. No raffles. No t-shirts. No BS! Leave the drama at home and enjoy a weekend of camping[IMG] and wheeling. Simply show up, pay the normal park fees, pick a place to camp and enjoy a great weekend before the relatives arrive for Thanksgiving.

The park is 1800+ acres with multiple trails from mild to wild.
If this is your first time to BMRA I would suggest the below. Absolutely not required, but recommended.

Sliders, link/shock armor, skids, recovery gear, rain jacket[IMG], etc... Feel free to make other suggestions. Ask questions...

Gilmer is located in a dry county. Closest beer/liquor store is about 30 minutes away so plan accordingly.

Plently of primitive camping, 2 cabins (which must be reserved) and several RV hook-ups.
There are two hotels in town if you do not want to camp. Executive Inn and the Gilmer Inn. Rates are about $70 per night and are located less than 10 minutes from the park. Neither allow pets.

Please post up if you are considering attending. We would like to at least give the park a heads up on how many plan on attending.
