Been living here about 9 years before I moved to CA for 4 years to work and do work training related. Got myself an 2013 taco there. Recently just moved back and wanted to know what are the law on mud flaps?

Been searching and reading online and it only stated that mud flaps are required on a dually. Never actually like the mud flaps and CA law require them.

    I found:

mud flaps--required when there are four or more tires on the rearmost axle.

I never had a problem with my tacoma and I had a 3" body with a 6" fabtech lift running 35" tires.

No law to my knowledge. I had mine off for a year and I only got speeding tickets.

In California, if the tire sticks outside of the area covered by the fenders, you must have a mudflap.

Looks like you're in TX now?

Not sure what the law is there.

In Ca.. few of my friends got ticket for not having mud flap. Not really sure what the law are but to be safe I never took them off when I was living there. I am now in Texas and probably remove them after settling in.

Never like mud flaps. It keep hitting the curb when ever I reverse into my driveway.

I took mine off at the dealer, in front of the sales man. Along with all the badges and pinstripe. Lol
