No worries man! Just stay on the hard packed sand and you'll be good to go. Worst case scenario: someone will pull you out if you get stuck.

 

Hello all... I'd heard about the run on Padre this coming weekend so I thought I'd create an account on the forum and reach out. I've had a run planned on the northern end of the island for some time, but most have since had to back out. However I heard of this run on the southern end. Would the group be up for having a moded 4runner tag along? I'm driving down from Houston Friday evening.... I'll scan the thread to look for more logistical details.

All right guys, I'll see you all out there. I'm going to sacrifice an Officials State Meet in Houston to make this one. I'll be there with the family. My 3 yr old and wife want to join in the festivities. It'll be great for my son he likes trucks. Hope you all don't mind. Normally I'd head out there solo and get "Awesome" after a few beers but my college days are over. I'll take a bong (Beer) for the young bucks. I'll take all my gear. Tents, BBQ pit, coolers, chairs, generator, large speaker, etc......need you guys to supply the ipod or else you'll hear nothing but "Corridos" from me.

1). It looks like some are driving down from CC Saturday am... Perfect for me since that is where our hotel is. Can someone confirm?
2). Is the group NOT doing the entire length of the island to the channel? My hope was to do the length. I've done a lot of soft sand driving... Also recoveries in the sand... So I'm comfortable... Was even planning to bring 10 gal of spare fuel.

 

dIEDRA7117 and I are planning to camp and fish at the channel, join up with us after the meet and greet falls apart.
