First, selling the Prerunner and buying a 4WD 4Runner was a smart move. Fewer miles. Got rid of a car note. Now have 4WD, so even in stock form, it performs better.

Second, upgraded street tires to A/T tires. Cooper Disocver ATP i believe has helped with traction where street tires would have been slipping.

Third, rock sliders. Have only used them once at Hidden Falls, but have served their purpose. Not utilized a lot, but better to have than not.

Fourth, Tacoma strut swap. Added 1.5" lift up front. Firmer ride on street and additional clearance off-road.

Fifth, AFE drop in filter. No gains of anything other than not having to replace it, ever.

of all the mods I've done I will say that the sliders and front ATO 1/4" skid plate have gotten more use than anything else I've done. Front bumper itself has been used as a slider a few times but none as great as the armor.

But if we aren't talking about off roading mods, then the URD true cold air intake and JBA long tubes are the most fun
