I have a 5x8 open trailer with a single axle. The tires on it are... ehm... rough.

Anybody in town have some used 15" tires in San Antonio, TX that they want to part with for cheap? I need to put new tires on it tomorrow, but I can't see myself spending $200 that, frankly, I don't have to spend.

    Just curious.

Mark... I have seen you get very lucky asking for all kinds of things on TW, but used trailer tires? :p

I know. It didn't happen in time for this past weekend, but I will be keeping my eye open. No rush now, as my trailer is locked up at Diesel Toyz until I need to use it again.

At OK4WD yesterday they had a pile of used 15" steely wheels for $10 each. Had used tires on a rack for $20 each.

Maybe give those guys a call and see if they'll ship? http://www.ok4wd.com

 I think the shipping alone would make it prohibitively expensive. I started calling around San Antonio this morning for used tires. I think I have found 3 used tires from a discount tire for $55!!! Just waiting for them to call me back.

    :D

If the vehicle is a motorcycle, quad, or a go-kart; then the answer is yes. You definitely don't want to put anything heavy on it. It is single axle. I use it for hauling motorcycles, yard stuff, furniture, boxes, and engines (for Todd).

I definitely want to! I just have to make sure that my ex-wife buys her RAV4 from me this week. That way I can redirect the funds. :D

I am going to replace my trailer tires soon. 225/75/15. They are old and a little cracked but still hold air and work good. I just don't trust them with horses in the trailer. As you know they are expensive, so make an offer.

Penny - I think he may of found a set by now, but I'm sure he appreciates the generous nature of the deal.
