    I went to Big Bend in 2004 with my 2000 Taco. The roads themselves are trails by my definition. The "roads" are MILES long & you run into signs that say "4x4 Only" & if you are by yourself in the middle of no where it can be a bit intimidating. Most important thing I can tell you is that if you ever go, pack along as much gas as you can! The park itself covers hundreds of miles & there is only 1 gas station actually in the park, & if I recall correctly they charged about 150% of what gas cost per gallon out of the park.
