I am just curious for anyone who has a front receiver hitch. Have you ever used it to lift the front of your truck. To change a tire or whatever?

Im curious about it cuz changing tires on this tundra with the 35's and lift is a pain in the ass. I have to use wood blocks and an over-sized hydraulic jack. that would save tons of time when rotating tires.

Yes you should easily be able to. If I put a front hitch I would use it for mounting a winch.

    Small lift and a topper!
I'd watch it carefully the first time you do it... Some hitches are strong enough to take it, but some aren't. Remember, they are bolted on to resist a small downward force and a larger outward force, not a huge upward force. These forces are all very different in how they stress a hitch.

Lifting the front of the truck would be like putting a 3500lb negative tongue weight on the hitch! Not all will take it.

You know, a nice strong plate bumper and a high lift jack would work well or maybe a set of sliders and a high lift... just saying...:stirthepot:

Bilsteins set at 2.5" OME Dakar rear leaf packs, FJ manual TC conversion, basket winch front and rear, hidden hitch in the front behind licence plate. Spyder headlights, tailgate seals.
Mine would take it for sure but it's too high to be useful for that purpose as it's behind the licence plate. I have the same problem with my lifted Gen 2 and was planning to fab up a simple yet elegant saddle for my jack to make up the difference.
