I'm new to the site. Great info here. Just bought an 09 access 2.7 5sp 4x4 after toyota bought back my 99. I have a 6x12 tandem axle trailer with brakes on one axle that I want to haul a 28 model a ford on. Total weight will be 3300 lbs or a little under. I would not be taking long trips, mostly under 75 miles each way. Will I be safe with a class 3 receiver and the activator III brake controller? What do you think?

You will be fine. Just make sure you give yourself plenty of stopping distance, because with 3300 pounds behind it, it will take your truck considerably more distance to slow down.
