I pulled my 6x12 Cargo trailer loaded up with my and the wives stuff from sacramento ca to sumter sc. It weighed in right at 4000 lbs. (Overloaded the trailer by 1000 lbs, oops) Pulled nicely but sure wish I would have had trailer brakes...

Pulled a U-haul vehicle trailer (2210 Lbs according to their website) with my 1985 Toyota Pickup 4x4 on it Can't find a definite weight online, but the little I can find suggests it's around 3000 Lbs. Could definitely tell it was there, especially on the hills in NC.

About 6000lbs in cargo trailer. I knew it was there. No towing in OD with that load

I towed a 24foot travel trailer 1800 kms most of it in the mountains. I felt it big time but i took it easy going around 60km/h on the big climbs.

Since this is a "heavy hauler" thread I thought this may be the place to ask this.

(I'm sort of expecting a response of "hellll to the noooo", oh well. . . interesting conversation)
I'm gonna be renting a bobcat or something like that to do some work on a half-ass MX track we're working on in my field/backyard. Should I even attempt to trailer a bobcat with my truck? It's a 5lug 5speed . . .

i think ive exceeded my tow capacity

~1500 lb car trailer and a 99 dodge caravan on the scale the total weight was ~10,000 so that minus the taco

2.7 4 cyl 4wd ( barely started in first, had to use 4lo to get moving)

Things I've towed:
late model Oldsmobile mini van - 3 miles in the rain. Friends Dad broke down, first time ever towing anything. That was fun.

2nd: Small trailer with lawn gear on it. Probably didn't weigh much.

3rd: Friends YJ after losing a U Joint off roading with me. 1 mile off road, at night, in the rain, followed by 4 miles pavement. God I loved my CB that day.

4th: Buddies '96 Sentra after a colllision last week. Front tire was oblitered and so was the front end. Truck easily drug him the 1/2 mile back. I was surprised at how little the weight effected my truck. The van and Jeep musta been a hell of a lot heavier.

My roadracing setup is a 6x12 v-nose trailer. It's steel-framed and double axle so quite heavy for the size, like 2500. Add in two bikes and tools and all the other junk and the all-up weight is probably close to 4000. I also have a zuma scooter in the truck bed. It has no problem pulling it and it doesn't sag beyond level but I can feel it back there, mileage is usually around 10 depending on the speed. Slowing down and making sure all tires are aired up good helps. I went to 40 psi on the truck and 50psi on the trailer.
