Hello everyone. Been using TW for info for a while and thought I would share my recent towing experience.

I pulled a 5x10 enclosed trailer crammed full of stuff from northern utah to florida this last week. Overall I was please with how the tacoma handled it.

I totaled 2300 miles with an overall mpg of 13.8. Not sure how much total weight I had, but the truck was stuffed full and the trailer was stuffed also.

I kept it in 4th gear pretty much the whole time and ran right at 65mph. It would have easily ran 75-80 the whole time but my fuel mileage started to drop considerably. The best tank I had was 16mpg and the worst was 11mpg.

When we move back in a couple of years I will definitely move up to a 2 axle larger trailer.

    Cheers..
