Looking to replace my 2600 lbs dry weight travel trailer with a 4000 lb dry weight.

I have a 2012 DCSB with towing package.

Do I buy the WDH and sway or Timbren and a sway? Thanks. Tongue weigh should be around 360lbs (dry weight). I am looking at the 19feet 2008 Mallard Sport travel trailer.

    Thanks,
    tntrac

WDH. Timbrens only make it look better and keep you from hitting the bump stops, but they do not distribute any weight.

Thank you. Any recommendation for a trailer about 4k dry weight around 22' feet (bumper to tongue).

Look at HI-LO towlite 22ft. (2001-2010 because you want alumium framing). I'm towing an 06, without any problems. no canvas/hardsided pop-up.They stopped making them in 2010, but nice used ones are out there. I'm using a WDH with 800lb. bars, no sway control needed because it's lowered for towing and I never had an issue with swaying

Currently, I have the FunFinder x139. Painful to have delamination. Not going with fiberglass again.

Definitely WDH. I would use airbags over timbrens for the purpose of towing.

So I don't need both airbags and wdh? Just wdh with sways?

WDH and sways are just fine. I tow a rather heavy toyhauler with WDH only and it was fine. Just a tip, attach your WDH while the tongue jack is extended. Then lower. Keep doing this until you find the sweet spot on the chaings.
