I have the strap on mirrors. They shake pretty good and are hard to adjust correctly. I see perfectly well with my stock mirrors, except neither mirror shows me behind the trailer. I have a 20 foot Jayco which is 8 foot wide. The strap on mirrors are still not wide enough so I just use them to comply with the law!

Will the law officer let you go with a rear view camera?? I would still keep the strap on mirrors on just for the appearance of compliance!

Yep, here in NH, the snowmobiling is all in Pittsburg and it's basically one long road in and one long road out. Mid season on a Friday night it's a caravan with snowmobile trailers and the cops just sit and yank people all day long for not having mirror extenders, license plates (and a plate light) and trailer lights. I use the one that clamps on the mirror. You can't see shit in it, but it's there for compliance.

How does this camera work, since it states in the details on Amazon that it only works when you are in reverse?

Not sure what camera you are looking at ? If you purchase a wireless, the camera is on all the time. Works great on the larger travel trailers, if you want to know what's happening behind you !

Thanks, erm. I wasn't looking at wireless ones. That's the answer.
