Any thoughts on How often the Engine oil should be changed when doing a lot of towing? Should switching to a synthetic oil be advisable.

Transmissions- How often should that be changed when towing. Also do they make a towing synthetic style fluid for towing ??

There are recommended intervals in the book that you can start with. And then you can get the fluids analyzed (Blackstone Labs) to get a true idea about how your fluids are doing.

    Synthetic is a good call.

I've changed engine oil every 5000 miles, always with synthetic
Changed out the ATF every 30,000 with synthetic.

82k and still going strong, with about 12k towing my travel trailer (~4200lbs loaded).

I've never noticed a towing - specific formula of trans fluid, but I have seen plenty of synthetic trans fluid on the shelves. You may want to consider an additional transmission cooler if you'll be towing extensively.
