Backing travel trailer

When backing a travel trailer, let say in your driveway. Should the WDH be removed?

It's good practice to. If you're not careful, you can bend the bars when you back up

 

I never take my off until I'm parked, I do remove the anti sway bar but not the weight dist. bars. It's pretty much straight back for me though. No turning.

 

Yeh, I usually take the sway bar off, but leave the WDH on. Before the firestone airbags my trailer would bottom out the leaf springs. I think you would have to try pretty hard and be on fairly uneven ground to hurt the weight distribution bars.
