Tacoma V6 4X4 vs. Tacoma V6 towing capacity

    The dealer told me yesterday that the towing capacity is the same for the 2013 Tacoma 4x4 V6 short bed and the 2013 tacoma V6 short bed. As long as they both have the towing package, the towing capacity is 5,000 lbs.


    Why does toyota.com show 6,400 lbs towing capacity for the 4x4 V6 only?

    all 2nd gen v6 tacomas with tow package can tow 6,500 lbs as toyota states...
