Towing the Prius across the country.

I am about to use a car dolly and tow my prius from North Carolina to Utah, My question is should I have anything speical done to my truck besides the obvious such as checking the ATF and having it flushed before I head out the door. has anyone used the Tacoma to tow a car before? and will it put miles on the prius as well?

Should be good to go. Do the basic maintenance on the truck and it will be fine.

Mile on the prius... doubt it as it is front wheel drive and those will be on the trailer.

I would highly recommend an actual car trailer. Those car dollies are a pain on the ass and I hate towing with them.

No car dolly would be best.

Not sure how a car dolly is better or how far you guys have driven with them but I did not like them. Sure its and easier tow because there is less weight but Iturning with them and traveling across country with them was a real pain.
Tow with what you want. Either will be fine but my vote still stands for an actual trailer.

If you are renting a truck then I would use the rental to tow the car. Less wear and tear on your truck.
