I have a 2013 Tacoma double cab v6 auto TRD with towing package. I'm getting a sailboat that is 6,000 pounds for boat and trailer. I live in Utah so I could see weekend trips to mountain lakes and maybe once a year out to the west coast. My feeling is it's going to be fine if I have WD hitch, trailer brakes, and lots of patience on the roads. I don't want a bigger truck because most of the time I'll be driving around town. But I want to be safe. Can this weight be done safely? What else do I need to make this safe? Thank you for your help.

    I (personally) wouldn't tow a 6k lb boat with a second gen.
