Honda EU3000is Longevity?

Everything else being equal (maintence upkeep, normal use), how many years will this generator last? Looking at one that is in great condition cosmetically and is 5 years old. Just making sure they don't start to puke after 7.

 

Have you considered a new generator?
I just picked up a Champion 75531 3100 watt inverter generator for less than $700 on Overstock.com. It's a nice little unit that will run everything on my camper. Probably a bit louder than the Honda you're looking at, but it's SO freaking cheap I can deal with a few decibels. The build quality is great, I'm sure it'll be running for some time to come.
