    Hello,
I currently am in the market for a new boat and could possibly have a really nice deal from a friend on a Nitro Z6 or possibly a Z7 bass boat. The total package weight for the 6 is around 2500lbs and the 7 is around 2800. That's w/o gas and equipment.

My question is whether or not my truck (2010 access cab 4cyl 4x2 auto) can handle either of these loads ?

I currently tow a mid 90's 16.5ft Sprint Bass Boat. I have never had it weighed , but I would imagine the total package weight is around 2000lbs. I have not had any trouble at all towing it.

The deal I may be getting will be hard to pass up, but I honestly don't want to pick up an extra payment for having to buy a new tow vehicle ( mine is paid off) if I don't have to.

Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated . Thank you

    Jason
