Too much weight x 2

This weekend I hauled about 2000 lbs in the bed of my 2013 Tacoma. The seller of the pavers needed the product of his lot then and there. So I loaded up, put my hazards on, and drove under 20 mph for 5 miles. I didn't hear any drinks, cranks, or cracks, but the truck definitely did not like all the weight. My rear fenders were about 2" above the rear tires.

1. Should I get my truck looked at for any damages? If so what specifically should I ask to be looked at?

The only thing I will be hauling in the bed moving forward is my quad and groceries.

Check around the bed bolts to make sure you didn't crack the bed and keep an eye on the axle seals for leaks. Not smart at all to carry that much weight in a Tacoma on the road...

For a 5 mile trip, why not make two trips rather than abuse your truck?

Unless you hit any hard bumps, your truck is not hurt. Worst case, the rear axle seals received some accelerated wear.

If the rear axle seals were to leak, is it the type of leak that would drop onto the pavement?

Doubt you will get a leak. If you do, you would notice some oil where the axle and the drums meet.
