Okay so I have been debating towing my Skid loader on a super heavy duty skid loader trailer up north for a 400 mile round trip. I bought Air bags and put a brake controller and pumped the air bags up to 90 psi. I drove in 4th gear 60-64 mph the whole way and it towed flawlessly. I figure the skid loader at 3900lbs and the trailer at 1500lbs (tandem axle 10000lb capacity). I went through a total of 2 1/2 tanks of gas. It pulled better then my 07 suburban with a 5.3

So the moral of the story for those that are wondering if the tacoma is capable for towing larger equipment if set up properly..I should note my truck is a double cab V6 SR5 with 84k on it
