So I'm looking into getting a nitro z9. The approximate package weight is going to be around 4700lbs with a tandem axel tandem brake trailer. I just don't know if my 2012 tacoma trd sport is capable of towing this boat? Does any have any experience with towing a z9?

Just want to make sure before I buy the boat.

I know a white one could tow it. Don't know about red.

Do they put trailer brakes on those? I would tow it in 4 instead of D. It's within the capabilities of the truck. Stopping would be the issue. It they include brakes I wouldn't worry about it. You going to be towing it on long trips?

I'm looking at similarly sized boats and I'm thinking trailer brakes are a must if you're planning to hit the road with one. I look forward to input from others with actual experience though!

You will not have an issue with a Nitro z9. Those trailers should have trailer brakes, if it doesn't ask them what they did with them because they shipped with them.
