I was all set up to install Curt hitch, to find that main piece has a slightly bent ear, and the nominal mounting width (Curt) appears to very tight to start with...

    Raised issue with online vendor.
We will see. Not easy to ship back...

Good thing there is no urgent need for the thing.
Back to tighten ten bolts, I guess. Darn.
    Good practice, perhaps?

FIXED: Curt tech support arranged sending out a replacement, which installed fine.

They'll just be pre-loosened for when you get the replacement hitch.

    Update: New part mounted fine.

I need to find out how to arrange FedEx to ship defective part back.
