I want to tow my wife's '08 RAV4 from Alabama to AZ but U-haul say's they don't recommend it. My Tacoma is a 2011DC Sport,4.0 and towing package.
The Rav weighs about 3300lbs.Any ideas why I shouldn't tow?

The rav probably weighs a bit more than you think and uhaul has a fairly high safety range for their stuff. Plus you have no tongue weight with a dolly which makes the towed load a lot harder to control than a trailer. There is a really noticeable difference between towing a trailer and a flat tow which is essentially just adding a whole bunch of weight behind you. Excluding the impact, its kind of like being rear ended by a car when you stop, especially on a hard stop. A heavier tow vehicle is definitely preferred for a dolly.

Not sure if this adds any benefit, but I towed an Oldsmobile Intrigue with an '07 4Runner V6 on a dolly without any difficulty, around 75 miles.
