I have a Fleetwood E3 which is basically a popup on steroids. The E3 loaded is about 4500 lbs. My Taco strains a little but it's not too bad.

Check out any RV dealer that sells Coleman.
Coleman bought out the Fleetwood pop up business.

There are a few different models.
The E3 has 2 king size beds and the dinette slides out as well. It also has a shower and potty.
I use to put my quad on the front cargo area. Since I sold it I put all of our camping crap up there freeing up the bed of the truck.

I was just talking about getting one similiar to this. I think it would be cool to have for weekend getaways. My problem is having an area to keep it when its not in use.

    very cool

Damn HOA complains I have to many cars in my driveway already.

The popup was an anniversary gift from my wife. We live out of city limits and don't have any HOAzzhats to worry about.
We try to get the family out about once a month. They aren't worth it unless you use them.

    Example of being worth it...
Labor Day 08 we went to the beach and rented a condo. 5 days cost us $650. We're going back this year but will be staying in the popup in an rv park. 5 days will cost us $143.
I did some math on it and the money we save from hotels makes the payments for an entire year + a couple of months.

I have this one... and as well as my Tacoma it does have already a lot of 12V mods and more... We already visited Inks Lake State Park (first trip) and Bastrop State Park (third trip) as well two places in MĂ©xico. You may visit this page http://he-ruide.smugmug.com/, the owner of this E3 has a lot of mods in his RV, most of them were implemented on ours. And also these ones that I found almost a year ago:

My RV has changed considerably since these trips, we had visited San Antonio, Texas area parks also Lake Corpus Chirsti, Corpus Christi Beach and Falcon State Park.

Have you done anything to your rear suspension? other than the Toyota AAL.

    mvega....nice rig!
I'm real familiar with heruide as well as grcooperjr "Ray" (buy astro stuff). Ray and I have shot a lot of emails back and forth. He's a great guy.

I didn't add anything to the rear. Just put on the WDH...hook up and off I go. The E3 is a great popup isn't it?

My self no more than 15 minutes after several setups and some automation ideas gathered from a RV forum. But at first it can take easily half an hour.

    Regards.

I use a cordless drill to open mine. It'll be up in less than a minute and I can have camp set up in less than 20 minutes.

Depending on the amount of stuff we packed in closing camp can take a little bit longer. Once it's all packed up the camper can be closed and hooked up in just a few minutes.

    Mvega...
Are you in Austin? Central Texas? You should check out Guadalupe River RV Resort. That's a great place with plenty for kids to do. We had a great time there and will be going back.

It is great! What brand of WDH did you install?

Main mods on mine has been
An aluminum tool box at front same material as E3 sides,
Most of the gray water mods used by these guys,
All automation tips to setup the pop-up,
A rear cargo basket (a hitch was installed also) to compensate front weight,
A bicycle carrier for up to four bicycles,
    An radio/CD upgrade to a MP3/DVD/SD device.
and a lot of 12V mods all around.

Big fails... TV air or Satellite signal reception.

    Regards.

How stable is it - in particular, those overhanging beds?
