    Hey guys!
Been a lurker here ever since I purchased my truck and recently discovered something I've yet to find an answer to.
I bought my 2001 Tacoma TRD used around four months ago, and although I have done a good bit of reading up on towing I can't seem to find a way of telling rather or not I have the towing package. From what I understand without the towing package my max pull is 3500lbs with a 700lb tongue weight (correct me if I'm wrong). I can't currently recall the numbers for the towing package but obviously since I'm assuming I don't have it that will remain irrelevant.
So, any way I can tell? Maybe a vin number differentiation (though it seems it was an add-on, not a factory option)? Eye-ball it so to speak? Pull something much higher than the standard package limitation and see if it works (absolutely kidding)?
Love how informative this forum has been, and thanks in advance,
    -Adam
