Morning all! So everything I've been reading about towing is to tow in 4th. My question is, going up a steep grade, is it better to leave in 4th or go down to 3rd?? Thoughts?

If the transmission is "Hunting", keep it in the lower gear. Depending on the load, Ive towed in 5th with no issues.

Ok sounds good. I had it in 4th going up to Payson and it wasn't looking for gears. Just didn't know if any benefits to 3rd while climbing. Better mpg or not?

More torque. If you're foot to the floor and the truck is struggling, downshift.
