yes you need to get a receiver ball 4 what ever size trailer hitch you got the info about the tow pkge should be in the paperwork from the dealer unless you got it used if all else fails call the dealer but with me my tow pkge came with a hitch and a oil cooler hooked to the radiator

I`m super cheap about some things and since I didn`t plan on towing much weight, I made plate w/square tube to accept a removeable drop hitch.I then bolted that plate right to the bumper.I went this route because I needed a drop hitch to tow boat and atv trailer and keep the height correct. You can buy these plates for $40 or less plus drop hitch and ball $30 then wiring harness was about$35 I think. It worked for me, I`ll try to add some pics soon.

A am really frugal, but I bought a Valley receiver from Amazon.com for $130.00, then applied for the credit card , got $30 off to make it $100.
I bought the Hoppy Connector and 2" ball mount and lock kit from Wal-mart.
I also bought a 4 pin to 7 pin round adapter from amazon, wired the hot lead through a 30a fuse to charge the trailer battery. I then got a good sized tranny cooler and ran hard lines under the radiator to the factory hard lines at the crossmember. I am ready to tow for like $225.00 :)

Broken and scratched tailgate, cracked rear tail light lens, coffee stain in driver seat.
Me and a friend pulled a trailer (way overloaded) from Portland Oregon to M.B. S. Carolina and did not have the "towing package" all he had was a hitch, and no issues, just lucky, the most complete sticky thread on this forum is how to tow, read it, live it, be it !! :)

Look at the shaft to the fan under the hood, if it is orange, then you don't have the tow package, if it is green, then you do. It's in the owners manual, page 210 I think.
