    After seeing the 3-6" lifts around, it's hard to look at my truck the same way. I do a lot of towing though, and am curious how a lift will affect my routine. Any Photo's of lifted Trucks towing? Does any here have a lifted truck, and tow often?

    Ahh.. the life of a "Camper". Don't mess with the T.V.! :) I am actually thinking of buying another Tacoma.. Probably won't thought for a while though. I just want Bigger Cooler looking tires, maybe a 3" lift? but I DO not want to mess with the ride quality of the truck.. I love it.

    Got more photo's, like side profile? I don't want to go all out.. mines a non-trd prerunner. Looks good, I like it. How much lift do you have? Price tag for Suspension mods? Rides better? you must mean.. "rides better off roads".. :)

    Ok, I am looking at TOYTECH now.. 299$ buys the 885's up front, and I would need (1.5")Blocks in back as the TSB was preformed recently.. What about Shocks.. is it ok to leave with Factory Bilsteins, do I need the 5100's? you just did Springs in front, and blocks in back? please advise. Yours looks great! Wonder if I can keep the factory Rims, and just put a Bigger Tire on there.. 16"s.. I read in another forum the 3" f'd up the guys ride.. we went to ProTech 6" and it was much better. Big difference in Cost.. shoot me straight. :)

    LOOKS SWEET! What size tires? Call me crazy, but I want to keep the stock rims and just buy bigger tires.. 3" looks good to me. I can still Tow my Camper, and look cool. Total Chaos? ok, maybe I am clueless.. is that a kit or something?

    Total Chaos Upper Control Arms. Gives a bit more travle, clearance, Added caster, and a stronger ball joint. Im running 285/60/18's right now. If you are gonna run stock rims you can get a 265/75/16 with out rubbing. ANy wider on the factory wheels, and I think your gonna rub your Upper Control Arms. :)

    awesome.. That is what I was thinking. 265/75-16..

    Michelin LTX AT/2, or BFG? I am more Highway with some Mud/Lake involved.. no rock crawling. Opinions?

    I do not want to "Cut" or replace Control Arms.. What about Shocks? 885 OME, Blocks in back.. should I change the Shocks while I am at it too? will factory just be a waste?

    NO BLOCKS. Blocks = BAD.
    Now, with that being said, Get the OME shocks for use with the OME springs. They are valved for the spring rate, and the weight of the Tacoma. For the rear, get an AAL. A longer one will yeild the best ride. 5100 Bilstiens are a good shock for the rear with this set up.
    Tires: I prefer Nitto Terra Grapplers to the BFG's as they have much better traction, and ride characteristics.

    I already have the AAL with the TSB..?? According to OME's website, I should use a 1.5" block. I am new to "lifting" so I appreciate all the help. 5100's in back, go it. OME shock with OME spring, got it. Something tells me it is not a $299.00 kit any more.. lol

    The TSB spring pack is a new spring pack, not an AAL stuck in the stock pack. I know alot of people say, "You need a block". Well, I have seen to many blocks broken, and shot out of the spring pack. Not to mention, they increase axel wrap which can lead to premature wear on your springs. Especially if towing. $299.00 kits are fine, but you WILL be changeing things later. Trust me. If you are going to lift it, and you have the money to do it the right way, by all means, doing it the first time has its rewards. :)

    Im getting about 18 - 20 when not towing, and about 15 - 16 towing on flat ground and driveing rather conservitavely. :)

    Gas Mileage sounds appropriate..

    TSB Springs, the $299 kit comes with AAL or Blocks.. It said for TSB tacomas, to do the bocks.. I wonder if I can use their AAL with the TSB springs?? would that work? OME front shocks are 289.00, and 5100's are 100 each.. I can afford it, I will wait till my Factory Tires are worn out though. Did you do the work yourself? I have done Shocks, struts, etc.. on BMW's.. but not Tacomas, I can't Imagine it being "more" difficult than a 7 series with push button adjustable shocks. Any special Tools required?

    Im really happy with the ride. Its a little firmer than stock, but any lift is. I have no experience with the 5100 shocks being used with the OME springs, but some people have used them and have been happy. I guess its a call on your part. :) I did my install. Only special tools you will need are a spring compressor (A good wall mount is prefered, as the OME springs are strong! Or have a shop install them on the strut) and some "C" clamps for the rear AAL install. My AAL is a 1" long that I had custom made at a spring shop. A 2" may give a little more lift than you want, but, once again, thats your call. :)

    OH, You will need new center pins for the rear spring pack, as the factory ones dont have much room for an AAL. If you have a hard time getting these, let me know, and I'll see what I can do for ya.

    For $300 you can get a new set of All Pro springs. Add a set of Timbrens and you're all set!

    I'm running the All Pro 3" springs with Light Racing jounce shocks in the rear and have zero complaints.

    Edit, as the only problems people have had seems to be with All Pro's UCA's. Mjp2, you have a nice looking truck!

    Pictures, and size Tires? I can tell I am getting the bug bad. I just hooked up my camper for the weekend, and I was sizing it. There looks like there is an EASY 1" lift on the camper.. Plus 3 on my truck with nice tires.. Wife is going to kill me, I just bought a Kayak.. Augh.
