Prodigy P2 Brake Controller

When connecting the Toyota supplied jumper to the Prodigy supplied connection, do i need to connect the solid green wire to anything?

I have a prodigy controller and i think the only extra wire was a ground wire that came from the controller harness.

 

I found an easy way. There is a wiring adaptor that plugs into the factory plug. You don't need to connect any wires. I picked up the Tow Ready #22285 adaptor. You can also get the Tekonsha #3040P. Tow Ready and Tekonsha are both owned by the same company, so it doesn't matter which one you get.

Now I just need to get a trailer with brakes so that I can try it out!

 

I just picked up the 3040P harness with my Prodigy P2. Had it out of the box & hooked up within 10 minutes. Hope to try it out this week on the trailer if it ever stops raining here.

 

Big thumbs up for the Prodigy P2! The owners manual is far more complicated than the actual operation of it. After today's test drive I can honestly say it's a small investment for a lot of peace of mind.

 

Got to use mine today also. Brought home a camping trailer. Worked great - I love those plug and play devices. Very easy setup and use.

 

Where did you mount your P2?

 

Mounted mine in the stash shelf to the right of the ignition key.
