So i'm turboing my 3rz soon and i was wondering if they base the i4 and v6 towing capacity on anything other than power, this is assuming that my prerunner is the same exact as a 4x4 minus the drive to the front wheels. The brakes, frame, and suspension are all the same right? I have a 99 with an auto trans (i have a trans cooler)

Towing capacities are based on many factors such as the transmission, frame and suspension as well as the power output.
