AMC-400 Dirt Bike Carrier

Anyone use this?

I was wondering if this will be OK for my 2013 V6 TRD DCSB with tow package? The dirt bike weights 350 lbs, so I should be good with the 650 lb tongue limit?

Thanks John

You'll be fine.

Had one just like it for my 250lb TW200. Worked perfectly fine. It did wobble which made me nervous, but it never gave me any issues. Got rid of it because I got a taco. A quick tip, try to center the weight as best you can otherwise it will really lean and sway like a mo-fo.

OK, gracias for the reply. PS picked up a 2013 CRF250L, looking to hit some trails in north GA this weekend and post some reviews...

Initial thoughts are this bike is fun as hell. Pretty snappy for a 250 and makes you feel like you are a kid again.

Interested to learn about the CRF250L. I ride my Wife's CRF230L, but need my own DS bike. Have a trailer but thinking about a carrier like bigweb2001 is looking at, since I have a shell on the back of the Taco.

Buddy of mine runs his YZ 450 on one. Does wobble a bit, but not anything crazy. He's never had a problem with it.

Wondered about the stability the carrier. Have a 4'X8' trailer I normally trailer motorcycles with.

For me the movement is a bit much. Not trying to bash it, I'm sure you could rig up a couple of straps to steady it up a bit. I ended up building one out of 6''x3''x84'' aluminum C channel bolted to a steel setup that used the receiver as well as an additional arm 20'' off center that made it incredibly stable. Worked with my KTM 250 SX like a dream. Cost me about $90.00 and a few hours of time.

Cool, would love to see pics of that and where you bought the materials...
