I just bought a new Pre Runner SR5 with the big tires and a tow package. The hitch is quite a bit higher than my old hitch and I'll need a drop down hitch. Any recommendations on the drop down hitch for the SR5 receiver? 2, 3 or more inches? I'm pulling a bass boat.

Drop in your old ball hitch and load everything up as you would going to the lake and start measuring.

My old hitch is a 1 1/4" and won't work in the Class III receiver. I guess I'll try the 2" drop and go from there. Thanks for the info.

Take a measurement from the top of the hitch opening to the ground and take a second measurement from the bottom of the trailer coupler to the ground when the trailer is level.

The difference between the two measurements is the drop needed.
