I am removing a manual transmission from a 1990 3.0 4x4. I have been sailing along but when I get to the top two bolts as well as the next one down on the right (by the starter) i do not have the room the break the bolt loose. I have tried my pneumatics etc and I cant get them. I think they were over torqued. Any ideas?

I think when I replaced my clutch in my '94 we attacked it fomr the top (through the area where the shifter used to be). Can you get in there to get a braker bar on it?

I tried to use a ujoint and a breaker from below but the fame and other things get in my way. I have literaly 2 inches to turn the breaker bar. I only have one bolt above the starter left that I can fit a socket on and that is the one giving me issues. The top two I think I can get with a wratchet wrench. I have worked on three tacos that i have owned and this is the most dificult bolt yet! thanks for the advise.

The leg works. lol. Mine is lifted so it is easier to get under the truck.
