Top Gear wanted to see who would get to the North Pole quicker: A vehicle or a dog sled team. That's the truck that Top Gear chose to take...so it's one of the like 3 or 4 vehicles to have driven to the North Pole.

Not just wide tires, but purpose built tires, along with a lot of purpose built mods, specifically for the trip the truck made and the terrain encountered on the trip. I have heard that those tires make expensive tires seem cheap.
